"SILVER WAGON, is one of the few — possibly the only — Grade 1-winning two year old that continued winning or placing in graded stakes at ages three, four, five, and at six. As a six year old, he again scored back to back Grade 2 and Grade 1 victories.

Silver Wagon captured Saratoga’s Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes by four lengths as a two-year-old and won or placed in eight other graded events. Taking Aqueduct’s graded Sport Page Handicap by 5-1/2 lengths and placing second to Ghostzapper in Belmont’s Grade 1 Metropolitan (mile) Handicap and Gulfstream Park’s graded Holy Bull Stakes.

Still sound as a six-year-old despite his exceptional speed, the almost-white speedster won Aqueduct’s Grade 1 Carter Handicap in his 24th career start, beating future international sprint standout Diabolical, after having won Laurel’s Grade 2 General George Breeders’ Cup in his 23rd start. Silver Wagon retired to stud in 2008 with earnings of $1,162,193.

Sired by a Grade 1 winner and out of a multiple stakes producer, Silver Wagon competed with the best of his generation. In the crop of 2001, he was more precocious than Eurosilver, whom he beat at Saratoga in his second start by 7-1/2 lengths. In his next race, the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes he defeated Chapel Royal, Birdstone and Limehouse winning by 4 lengths. With his speed, class and proven durability, Silver Wagon certainly brings several unique qualities to New Mexico’s stallion roster." - Thoroughbred Times
